I don't have to prove anything

Age 61-72

I’m looking at my life from a much bigger perspective.

At some point, you stop being particularly interested in who you’re supposed to be.

You’ve worked.
You’ve cared for people.
You’ve built things. You’ve lost things.
You’ve started over.
You’ve made mistakes. You’ve figured some things out.

You have opinions now.
And you don’t need everyone to agree with them.

Your life doesn't have to prove anything anymore.

You might find yourself:

  • caring a lot less about keeping up
  • having very little patience for explaining your choices
  • wanting more comfort, curiosity, laughter and good company
  • deciding that some things simply aren’t worth your energy anymore
  • trying something new without needing it to become a goal or accomplishment
  • enjoying a day that produces absolutely nothing
  • noticing that some of the things you used to worry about just don’t seem that important anymore

You may still want to travel, create, learn, work, volunteer, spend time with family or start something completely new.

But you don’t need a reason that makes sense to anybody else.

I want to do this.
That’s enough.

What if you could understand what matters to you now and why?

There may be more to this stage than simply caring less about what other people think. Understanding the bigger patterns at play can help you make sense of what matters to you now.
