The rest of my life is mine.
You’ve spent the last couple of decades becoming the woman you are.
You made choices because they made sense at the time.
You built relationships. You worked. You raised kids. You took care of people. You stayed in things. You left things. You made mistakes.
You learned things you wish you’d known sooner.
And now you’re starting to look back at some of it differently. Not because your life was wrong.
You might catch yourself thinking about the things you tolerated, the things you didn’t say, the chances you didn’t take, or the parts of yourself you put away because there were other things that seemed more important at the time.
Because you know more now
You might find yourself:
- thinking, “Why did I put up with that for so long?”
- recognizing where you abandoned your own needs to keep something else working
- grieving things you thought you’d have done by now
- looking at old choices with more compassion than you used to
- realizing some of your biggest regrets taught you something you couldn’t have learned any other way
- questioning which parts of the person you’ve been still belong in the woman you are
- wanting to stop carrying old decisions around like they get to define the rest of your life
This can be an uncomfortable age because you’re old enough to know yourself better and young enough to know there is still a lot of life ahead.
You can’t go back and make different choices.
But you can finally understand the woman who made them.
And that changes what you do with them now.
What if your past doesn't have to dictate what comes next?
